The following important rule amendments pertain to SLC age groups.
11u Boys: 11u boys will play on a full sized field with the required 10 players. Games will be 4 running time quarters of 12 minutes each. Whenever the difference in score equals or exceeds 5 goals, the losing team may elect to take possession of the ball at midfield without a face-off following the scoring of a goal by either team.
* There is NO Intentional body checking allowed.
* No sticks longer than 42"
* There is no 10 second rule enforcement to clear the ball or to get it into the attacking area.
13u Boys: 13u boys will play on a full sized field with the required 10 players. Games will be 4 stop time quarters of 10 minutes each. Whenever the difference in score equals or exceeds 5 goals, the losing team may elect to take possession of the ball at midfield without a face-off following the scoring of a goal by either team.
* Body checking is permitted in U15 and U13, however, no take-out checks are permitted by any player. A "take-out" check is defined as any body check with the intention of putting the player on the ground.
* No sticks longer than 42" (except for 13u-A level team)
*The 10-second rule for moving the ball in the box will be eliminated. The referee will have discretion to warn and call stalling in lieu of the 10-second rule.
15u boys: 15u boys will play on a full sized field with the required 10 players. Games will be 4 stop time quarters of 12 minutes each. Whenever the difference in score equals or exceeds 5 goals, the losing team may elect to take possession of the ball at midfield without a face-off following the scoring of a goal by either team.
* Body checking is permitted in U15 and U13, however, no take-out checks are permitted by any player.
* Up to 4 sticks longer than 42" are permitted on the field at one time.
*The 10-second rule for moving the ball in the box will be eliminated. The referee will have discretion to warn and call stalling in lieu of the 10-second rule.
11u/13u girls: 11u and 13u girls will play on a full sized field with the required 11 players. All girls must wear goggles and a mouthguard. Gloves and a girls pelvic protector are optional (except for a goalie). Games will be 2 running time halves of 20 minutes each. Whenever the difference in score equals or exceeds 5 goals, the losing team may elect to take possession of the ball at midfield without a draw following the scoring of a goal by either team.
* No stick checking is allowed.
* No holding the ball for more than 3 seconds when closely guarded by an opponent who has two hands on her stick and is in position to legally check were checking allowed. Penalty is a change of possession-minor foul.
15u girls: 15u girls will play on a full sized field with the required 11 players. All girls must wear goggles and a mouthguard. Gloves and a girls pelvic protector are optional (except for a goalie). Goalies must also wear shin guards. Games will be 2 running time halves of 25 minutes each. Whenever the difference in score equals or exceeds 5 goals, the losing team may elect to take possession of the ball at midfield without a draw following the scoring of a goal by either team.
* Modified checking only. Opponents stick must be below shoulder level. The check must be in a downward direction and away from the body. No reaching across the opponents body to check
